My husband is currently stationed in Iraq. We both have a webcam. We have tried to use the webcams with yahoo messenger, but they are constantly froze up. Does anyone know of a program that we could download so that we can use our webcams and not have them freeze constantly?

During my Son’s 3 tours we have always used Yahoo. However, not without problems that always appear to be on the Iraqi end of the circuit. Works find in keyboard chat mode. Stays up and never locked up. But when we went to video it would eventually always lock up. I am an x-computer tech so know a little and we tried everything. It appears sometimes to simply be a memory problem, but adding more RAM to system did not fix the problem. I believe it is a bandwidth (not trying to get technical on you) problem on their end that cannot be alleviated.

Pretty frustrating at times. Photos were tough to. What I did was create a webpage off one of the webpages I maintain just for our photos. He could upload and I could too. Then we could see them at our leisure. We could also leave private messages, etc., up on it when were had lost contact for periods of time when he was roaming around.

I hope your husband returns safely and please know that we out here are proud of him. More importantly we are proud of your sacrifices as you wait for your hero to return.

    God Bless our Troops.
