Looking for one to do some podcasting with. Doesn’t have to be anything fancy, just easy to use, good quality and reasonably priced. What do you recommend?

I have a Trust headset (headphones with microphone). It picks up voice quite well, although you wouldn’t really want to use it for recording music. It’s got volume control on the cable and connects via the normal headphone/microphone jacks. It only cost me €8 (about $11.20). I got mine in Dunnes Stores but I don’t know if they have Dunnes where you are, so try the internet.

Sennheiser over Sony any day!
Check out for some affordable ones, which I normally use for VOIP or Ventrilo “in game”, but also very handy for Skype and IM software.
I have the PC151s (not USB, but mic/headphone plugs) and they are AWESOME, but they do have some USB adapter setups available too!
Feel free to peruse the Sennheiser line at Newegg. Great prices and shipping speed.
