I bought a Toshiba laptop with a webcam already on it, but I didn’t like the quality of the camera capture. So I bought a new camera and installed it.
But whenever I try to start the new camera, the webcam of the computer starts. How can I use my own webcam and not the webcam of the computer?

I’m interested in using a webcam for when I fish and posting the live feed on my hobby web site. Do I need specific software and a specific camera type? I know some sites air live webcam but I want it only for my site. How to do it?

I attached a webcam to the computer in the living room to keep an eye on my kids. I want to be able to watch it through the computer in my office/den. Both computers are attached to a router, and I can retrieve/view folders (shared)on both computers, but not sure how to access the webcam program on the other computer. Any advice?
