I can’t afford a macbook but i want a laptop with a webcam and has good quality for under $1000. A brand or specific laptop would be fine, please help!

I’ve got a built in webcam but theres no way of actually sending it to have a webcam conversation. Anybody know how to do it? I’ve tried it on the messenger thing that comes with it and I’ve tried on yahoo but theres no option to start webcam.

The webcam is at the top of the screen. I looked under Computer and there was no icon saying webcam. I searched webcam on the start bar thing, and nothing came up….. ???
