I attached a webcam to the computer in the living room to keep an eye on my kids. I want to be able to watch it through the computer in my office/den. Both computers are attached to a router, and I can retrieve/view folders (shared)on both computers, but not sure how to access the webcam program on the other computer. Any advice?

I’ve got a built in webcam but theres no way of actually sending it to have a webcam conversation. Anybody know how to do it? I’ve tried it on the messenger thing that comes with it and I’ve tried on yahoo but theres no option to start webcam.

I’m currently on an oldish mac lappy that doesn’t have a built in cam, It’s software is ver 10.4.1 I might be swapping to a cheap Acer notebook, is it possible to get a webcam that works with both and will work w/ stickam?

I recently got vista, and installed my webcam. (Intel CS330) Apparently, it installed just fine, and it shows up underneath ‘Imaging Devices’ in device manager. Anyways, i was wondering how to get it to take pictures and such. When I had XP if you press the arrow on the location bar at the top all the drives/major folders came up, including the webcam. So you could just click on it and it would take you to a screen where you could take screenshots. Now on Vista i can’t find any way to do that. Is the only way to take pictures to download some webcam capturing software?
